profile-anneAnne Mount is an award-winning screenwriter, Literary Guild author, journalist, copywriter, essayist and poet. Her most current screenplay, TERROR BY NIGHT, recently won a Seal of Approval award from The Dove Foundation. Her book, How To Stay Lovers While Raising Your Children, (St. Martin’s Press/Mayer), was excerpted in three editions of Reader’s Digest (USA, Great Britain,Canada) and reviewed in USA Today and in the Los Angeles Times. She has made appearances on many television and radio programs, including NBC’s Today Show. Mount has also co-authored books, including, The Bride (Harry Abrams), celebrating 50 years of Bride’s.

Her articles and essays have appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The Dallas Morning News, San Francisco Chronicle, Marin Independent Journal, Hemisphere, Hollywood & Vine, Charisma, Ladies’ Home Journal, Redbook, McCall’s, Working Mother, Harper’s Bazaar, Mademoiselle, Bride’s, Seventeen, Parents, Lady’s Circle, Parenting, Child, American Baby and other publications.

Mount has been an assistant features editor of Morgan Guaranty Trust Company’s employee publication, a senior associate editor of Lady’s Circle and an assistant features editor at Harper’s Bazaar. In addition, she has been a senior instructional designer for Mary Kay, Inc., in Dallas. Her work there consisted of writing instructional materials for the Mary Kay beauty consultants in the form of booklets. She also assisted in audio and video productions and was instrumental in helping beauty consultants be more successful in their business. Mount has also been a producer for a local San Francisco Bay radio talk show, Sunday Night Live, on KFRC, and was the first person to get regular publicity for the program in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Her poetry has been published in such anthologies as Pete Seeger’s, From The Hudson To The World. She is also a winner in many writing contests, including Mademoiselle’s poetry competition, Mademoiselle’s Guest Editor Competition, the Writer’s Digest article writing contest. She enjoys hiking, movies, spending time with family and friends, and helping others.
